Using Storage in another cluster/datacenter

Hi,

I havea simple question I think:

is it possible, to use a VMFS-Volume, which is connected through FC/FCOE, across two cluster/datacenter at the same time without corrupting the datastore?

That shouldn't be the normal situation but I would use it for datatranfer or testing scenarios. So it's more a theoretical question.

thanks

Peter

Yes, you can, see the following blog post for additional details: With vSphere 5.0 and HA can I share datastores across clusters?

And both clusters are under the same vCenter? Because if the answer is no, you cannot use Storage I/O Control, since one of SIOC requirements is that the datastores must be managed by a single vCenter, see: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/1022091
