Snapshot faild

Hallo,

Taking a snapshot faild with the error:

Fehler beim Erstellen eines Snapshots: msg.snapshot.error-notfound

Fehler beim erstellen der Snapshot-Datei "/vmfs/volumes/52975cbf-b22eabaa-a23b-f80f41f7d8e2/server/server-Snapshot2351.vmsn"

Fehlerbeim Speichern des Snapshots: msg.snapshot.error-notfound.

Can you check if the datastore has space issues?

HI ,

1. Check vm having already snapshot  form snapshot option , browse the data store / from cli

2. Also check vm is hdd is running in snapshot or not ( edit setting -> hdd shows endong with 0000X

3. Power off machine create snapshot and delete all ,  consolidate .

4 try new snapshot

Try to take snapshot without memory option

Check datastore having enough space

Check any RDM / USB presented there on vm

vm size is 190 GB and datastore has 200 GB freely

1. None snapshots

2. snapshot cant be created while the vm ist running. ( In datastore can i see files  server-000003.vmdk

server-000004-delta.vmdk )

3. The vm may not be shutdown

Is the VMware tools running on guest OS?

Can you take snapshot without quiesce? and whats the status with quiesce?
