Is it a way to see a the vm of a security group in vRealize Network Insight ?

Hi,

All is in the title.

I don't understand I can't see the security group content or make search base on security tag to catch vm list.

Is it a normal behaviour or I failed somewhere ?

All other informations (vm, edge, dlr, flows, topology, firewall rules, metric, etc ...) seem good.

regards for any help.

Patrice

If I understand correctly, you want to know which VMs are members of which security groups, within the Web client?  Go into Networking & Security -> Service Composer -> Security Groups tab.

Locate the security group, and find the "Virtual Machines" column for that group.

Click the number in the column to see a list:

If the question is how to setup a security group to make sure it grabs some VMs dynamically, create a new group, the simplest is to grab them by VM name contains:

Create the group, and check the VM members on the new group (83 from my example).  The group membership is created/updated instantly:

Obviously, the title wasn't totally helpful.

I would like to have this information in vRealize Network Insight.

I apologize for the misunderstanding.

regards,

Patrice.

Ah, sorry I didn't pay attention to what sub-community it was posted in (my apologies).
