Functionality of View Connection Server and Agent FQDN (not an Error)

Hi all

This is a question about the functionality of view, not about an error.

I understand that the View Connection server must be able to resolve an Agent by it's FQDN in order for proper communication to work. The question is why does the Connection Server require DNS and not able to just use the IP address of the Agent?

Agent and Connection Server communication is developed on JMS (Java messaging service) and it is a requirement to have both the parties be able to resolve the FQDN
