Re-registration of NSX-Manager with VC

Hi,

We have NSX deployed in production environment but some reason I have to re-register NSX Manager with VC Server with different user

   1. Will It be any downtime if I re-register the Manager with VC?

   2. Do I need to restart the VC Server to successfully register the NSX Manager with VC?\

We can't afford downtime hence need expert advice on this.

Regards

Amol

You can certainly re-register VC with different user as long as new user is having administrative access on vCenter Server and you don't need to restart any service for this activity. Downtime is there only for management plane(No new configurations or changes accepted until re-registration is completed)

Hi,

I have re-registered NSX Manger with VC. No issue seen. NSX Manager and VC reboot was not at all required.

Thanks
