Does V2V converting preserve licenses on server (SQL license, etc.)?

Hi everybody!

I've searched around the forum for this "problem", but din't find exactly that.

So here's the thing - i have to shrink one VMDK disk of a VM and i would do it with VMware vCenter Converter Standalone (converted VM would be in the same datastore as old one).But this VM has installed SQL Server 2016 Standard and so i wonder what will happen with the license after the conversion. Would SQL still work normally on converted VM or will i need another license?

I've read this pdf "SQL Server 2016 Licensing Guide", but the problem is i don't know exactly which SQL licence there is on server

If we can make some conclusions here i would be very thankful.
