AV default template question

Hi,

As default the app volumes default template is 20 GB is there any way to trim the size of app stack after we done with packaging all applications?

for example:

we have app stack with 4 applications which needs only 6 GB space, now as we are using 20 GB template can we remove the extra 14 GB void space? that way my app stack will be 6 GB disk

You cannot reduce the AppStack size after packaging (if thick provisioned) but you can create additional templates with smaller size and use it for packaging.

Please have a look at this KB:  Creating a new App Volumes AppStack template VMDK smaller than 20 GB (2116022) | VMware KB

Also, create the new templates as Thin Provisioned disk so that it does not use void space.
