hi everybody,
i really don't get it, may be a dummy question, however i searched around for quite some time now.
is 3248547 the latest version of Hypervisor 5.5? or is it 5.5.0-Update3-3568722 or even 6480324 ?
my sources so far: VMware ESXi Release and Build Number History | Virten.net https://esxi-patches.v-front.de/ESXi-5.5.0.html
kind regards
Mike
Hi MIKe,
See the following URL:
Build numbers and versions of VMware ESXi/ESX (2143832) | VMware KB
The latest build of ESXi 5.5 is Express Patch 11 build 5230635.
Cheers, Matt.
ESXI!=Hypervisor or ESXI=Hypervisor 5.5 Version?
Welcome to the Community,
the binaries are the same for each edition, it's only the license key which makes the difference. VMware provides downloadable iso images for different - but not for all - updates/builds. You can however update/patch ESXi to the latest build if you want. As an alternative to downloading the patches from the VMware website, you can use e.g. the PowerCLI script from the v-front.de site to create your own installation image, or offline bundle.
