Is Fusion 8.5.8 compatible with MacOS Sierra?

I just bought a new MacBook Pro, and am trying to install Fusion on it.  I downloaded the file, and tried to install it, but when it starts to install, I get an error message saying File Not Found.

Thanks for any help.  This is mission critical.

Hello,

Under some circumstances macOS puts quarantaine attributes on downloaded dmg files.

Below are the steps to resolve that issue.

1. Execute below commands:

   xattr -l ~/Downloads/VMware-Fusion-8.5.8-5824040.dmg
   xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ~/Downloads/VMware-Fusion-8.5.8-5824040.dmg

2. Reinstall VMware Fusion from the dmg

Steps provided by Jessie Zhang: MacOS 12.6 breaks Fusion
