Hi,
after upgrading to from CentOS 7.3 -> 7.4 the Player is unable to create the vmnet1 and vmnet8 connections. In the log (see attachment) I found entries about a missing version.h:
2017-09-15T09:06:17.213+02:00| vthread-4| I125: Failed to find /lib/modules/3.10.0-693.2.2.el7.x86_64/build/include/linux/version.h
2017-09-15T09:06:17.213+02:00| vthread-4| I125: /lib/modules/3.10.0-693.2.2.el7.x86_64/build/include/linux/version.h not found, looking for generated/uapi/linux/version.h instead.
Also entries about modinfo which exited with status 256:
2017-09-15T09:06:17.321+02:00| vthread-4| I125: Invoking modinfo on "vmnet".
2017-09-15T09:06:17.322+02:00| vthread-4| I125: "/sbin/modinfo" exited with status 256.
The final entry is
2017-09-15T09:06:17.886+02:00| vthread-4| I125: Building module with command "/usr/bin/make -j4 -C /tmp/modconfig-3k7IHs/vmnet-only auto-build HEADER_DIR=/lib/modules/3.10.0-693.2.2.el7.x86_64/build/include CC=/usr/bin/gcc IS_GCC_3=no"
2017-09-15T09:06:18.686+02:00| vthread-4| W115: Failed to build vmnet. Failed to execute the build command.
I'm able to start the Player with the old Kernel 3.10.0-514.26.2.el7.x86_64 where the Player was built.
Should I try to deinstall/install the Player?
Thanks
Robert
