HA 2 Nodes Cluster without NAS or SAN

    Dear All

I wnat to buy to HP DL380G90 Server and configure them as a cluster with HA

but the company does not want to pay extra for NAS and SAN Storage

is it possible to configure HA without NAS or SAN ?

if yes where can I find useful links ? Smiley Sad

I know it is not possible with VSAN Please Help me

HA isn't really an option without a SAN.

You could investigaate vSphere replication; VMware vSphere Replication .

It's not possible with some kind of shared storage. The standby host needs to read the vm data to power the VM back on. VSAN is an option too.

as I know vSAN needs three host to work

You could consider 3 x a single CPU server. Which in many cases is cheaper than 2 x Dual CPU server. Another option would be selecting a different storage appliance. vSAN requires 2 + a witness VM somewhere. Or 3 hosts. There are some appliances which only need 2, although I would ask myself what happens if there's a network partition or a host is isolated. How does the appliance know which half owns what?
