Can you only install Security patches to vCenter Appliance?

Hi,

I am currently at vcenter 6.0 Update 2a and I cant go to update 3b as yet because of third party tools that isn't compatible with update 3b. Wanting to know to get around this if I can only install the security fixes instead of the full update to 3b?

Yes we could install only security patches rather than update 3b.

I have noticed there is a TP.ISO file for update 3 but there isn't for 3b. Thoughts?

From memory I think that the 3b was upgrade only.  it obviously included all previous patches.  what issues are stopping your moving to 6.0 3b

The backup tool we use that hooks into vCenter isn't compatible with update 3b only Update 2 is. I was hoping I could then only apply all the security fixes between 2 & 3b
