Change default 80/443 port of the web client

Hello,

This is my first time that I'm getting involved with the ESXi enviroment. I managed to install ESXi 6.5, configure and build several VM's.

I came to a certain point though, that I need the Web Client to listen to different ports other than the default 80/443.

I did my research and tried different ways that they seem to work on other but on different ESXi versions. Is there any working solution to to that with ESXi 6.5?

I broke my system several times but luckily I have backups to restore it. I waste more than one week working on it and still no luck. Can anybody give me some info about it ?

Thank you

From vSphere 6.0, the default ports for external communication vCenter and ESXi are 80 and 443 and are used by rhttpproxy.

You can try the above steps and check if that works..

Thanks,

MS

Thanks for your reply.

I tried that but after that the web panel does not respond on the 80/443 neither on the defined ones.

It is very frustrating that this option is not included in the control panel.

Yes, ESXi 6.5. As I said, this is my first setup on an ESXi Server, so I dont doubt that I might doing something wrong.
