Does the latest versions of App Volumes still use a Drive letter (albeit hidden) to attach applications or AppStacks or have they finally moved to a logical mount point.
The reason I ask is the last time I was looking at this technology it caused all sorts of issues on a customer site when the number of app's or stacks assigned to a desktop hit a certain number. the reasons being that the customer utlised the G:\ for their departmental group drive and the H:\ for their home drive.
It doesn't consume drive letters by default. It uses logical mount point. Any drives letters that are auto mounted are removed by the svservice. You can enable drive letters if you want via registry key VMware Documentation Library
