I use the vCenter 5.5 and use the vShpere client 5.5 for the management connection. Why I cannot make the search?? How can I fix it??
Make sure there is proper dns record for vCenter and you are able to resolve via hostname and IPaddress both.
Thanks! ... I tested when I changed my PC's DNS of vCenter, that is working ... But I remembered b4 I use the other DNS, that is working on searching also ... How can I set the search, which is not related on the DNS???
This is more related to dns when its not resolving names rather than search.
Can you post results of (cmd > nslookup 'vcenterservername' ) with both dns settings working or not working.
fixed ... After changed the hostname of vCenter as host (Not FQDN), then my PC is not joined the DNS and it still can search
Didn't get you, you changed host name of Vcenter or client you're accessing from ?
