How to run Esxi host 6.5 with 2GB memory!

I built a lab on my laptop, everything is running inside VMware Workstation 12 Pro. I installed Esxi 6.5 with 4GB RAM, it's working fine. I am now running low on memory and I reduce my Esxi to 2GB of memory. Of course, it won't run.

At the memory error windows, I tried Alt+F1 but it does nothing. Only ESC to debug and nothing can be done there. Anyone out there has a workaround? thanks.

Looks like you have to have at least 4 GB of memory Smiley Sad

ESXi 6.5 requires a host machine with at least two CPU cores

ESXi 6.5 requires a minimum of 4 GB of physical RAM. It is recommended to provide at least 8 GB of RAM to run virtual machines in typical production environments.

As far as I know you cant really reduce the min mem requirements - but you can configure WS to allow over-comitting of RAM.
I can run several ESXi VMs with 4GB RAM each on my WS12 using a host with 12gb ram.
