VMware Player unrecoverable error: (vcpu-0)

Hi folks,

I'm having some problems in running the VM i copied from my School machine, problems as below:

1) First problem:

"Binary translation is incompatible with long mode on this platform. Long mode will be disabled in this virtual environment and applications requiring long mode will not function properly as a result. See http://vmware.com/info?id=152 for more details."

2) Second problem:

" VMware Player unrecoverable error: (vcpu-0)

vcpu-0:VERIFY vmcore/vmm/main/cpuid.c:386 bugNr=1036521

A log file is available in "C:\Users\USER\Desktop\***\REMWorkstationVM\vmware.log".

My machine is running in below spec:

Processor: Intel i5-7200U @2.50Ghz

System Type: 64 bit Operating System, x64-based processor

For the first problem, make sure that the Intel Virtualization Technology or VT-x is enabled in the EFI/BIOS. Usually, the second problem does not appear if the VT-x is not enabled in the EFI/BIOS but for some reason those with Kaby Lake processors gets past that and then show the second problem.

Based on the log, the VM is running a Windows 8 OS with 3D graphics acceleration enabled.

The log indicates that the Intel HD graphics is the preferred graphics processor and is used by VMware Player. Since it appears you have a laptop (Intel U processor and 920MX usually goes to laptops), you can set the preferred graphics processor in the Nvidia Control Panel to be the 920MX so that the VM has better graphics performance
