Unfortunately, today there isn't a way to add point tags to data that has already been ingested by Wavefront. But you can add these point tags at the data source and send the modified metric with the new tag to wavefront so all the new data has it. I'm assuming you are asking the question around point tags but on the chance you would like to change or add a source tag, that can be added within the system after ingestion. Below are some basic instructions on how to do this:
- To change a Source Tag access the Source page (overview of Source Page: Sources Page )
- You can then select a source by checking it's box.
- In the upper right hand corner click the "shared tags" button.
- Either select a tag from the list or type in the name of the new source tag.
