VDI Workload

Hi,

we are planning Cloud Foundation for VDI workload.

If we want to use Horizon 7, do we have to deploy Horizon in the traditional way ? It seems that current version only roll out 6.2.

I understand that this deployment is then in the same way as traditional vSphere environment right ?

dmulligan - Yes, in the current release of VMware Cloud Foundation (2.1) a VDI Workload domain is based on Horizon 6.2. If you require the use of Horizon 7 today, you can deploy it the traditional way by placing the management components in the Management Workload Domain and setting the desktop pools to consume a VI Workload Domain.

To close the loop here. The current VMware Cloud Foundation 2.2 automates the deployment and configuration of Horizon 7.2. All software version details are in the Release Notes.
