Themis server is supported by vSphere?

Hi All,

I'm trying to figure out if the server Themis RES-XR5 can be used to run ESXi, but in the Compatibility Guide there are two old servers that supports only ESXi 4.

Does anyone know if it's supported or not?

Thanks,

Luca

If it's not there in compatibility list then it doesn't mean you cant install. It means VMware hasn't tested this ESXI on this particular vendor/model and if you will install this in production you won't get any official support from VMware.

There is possibility, it may works or may not. You may try to make some tweaks to customize image to support this hardware.

Any idea what components Themis uses in their servers? I found Supermicro listed for at least one of their products. If you can confirm that all the hardware such as motherboard, memory, CPU, NIC, etc. are supported. Then you should be fine. I use all custom built servers with hardware confirmed to be on VMware's compatibility list.
