vCenter Server Appliance Installer - Appliance Deployment Target

I am trying to install vCenter and ESX hosts using the vCenter Appliance Installer. I am getting the following error when I try to specify the appliance deployment target settings: Failed to get an SSL thumbprint of the target server certificate. How can I resolve this issue?

It isn't easy to help without knowing any details regarding your environment.

Some questions:

• Did you create DNS records for the VCSA (in Forward, and Reverse lookup zone), as well as for the ESXi host(s)?
• Do the DNS names resolve to the correct IP addresses?
• Are you able to connect directly to the ESXi host using the DNS name?
• Are VCSA, and the hosts in the same subnet, i.e. no firewall involved which may block traffic/ports?
• Which VCSA, and ESXi versions/builds do you use?

Thanks, but I was able to deploy a vcenter and esx host/server by requesting a development build cluster account and running build commands from my terminal
