Need to add hardware (RAM,HDD) for ESXi single (standalone)

Hi,

I need to add more hardware for 1 single esxi host. Running (5) VM-guests. Along with Veeam backup (VM). Need to make sure have good backup hostANDguest prior to upgrade hardware. What's the best way to perform this task.

Since you have single host so migration of VMs isn't possible.

1. Take a snapshot of VMs.

2. Take ESXI config backup : How to back up ESXi host configuration (2042141) | VMware KB

If you are using this host in production, please refer to the architecture of server board as in most of cases its require matched in certain banks. You can find that information host motherboard configuration guide.
