I have a nested environment.
I have set up my ESX host to time synchronize with another computer. At first, in vSphere client the time and date are displayed in red (as expected). When I configure it to start NTP client, put the proper IPs and so on, it does nothing. Ok. As it's the first time, I put manually the right date and time and it goes fine. It displays black and the service is "running".
Later on, the time shifts and stays at the last time I used the VM. The configuration of the NTP is OK, as I configured it. Then I restart the NTP client with (again) no result.
¿Any clue on this?
Recall that EVERYTHING is nested and virtualized, in case it may have something to do. All my VMs are set up to time sync with my physical laptop, though.
