LookupAndOpen(file) failed - caused by View Composer provisioning VDI linked clone pool on VSAN

Has anyone come across intermittent "LookupAndOpen(file) failed" error when View Composer is provisioning Linked-Clones on VSAN?

It appears that you need to ensure you are using the right "flavor" of your LSI SAS driver! Certain LSI cards like the "lsi_mr3" on a UCS doesn't work well for VSAN. VMware will ask you to switch to "megaraid_sas"!

Hello kjsdtts, this seems to be an ongoing issue that is pending resolution. Please reach out to the support services to check if they have any workarounds at the moment.

Thanks parmarr​ it is our understanding that it has to do with Copy On Write issues within VSAN.

I'm interested if the fix for this is going to be incorporated in the next vSphere update.
