VMware ESX 6 Datastore Upload missing

Hello,

I've spent all day uploading an ISO to my datastore and in the host EVENTS it shows that it completed with status "Success." I watched it complete. But when I view the datastore it is not there. Also when I view the path using SSH I do not see it listed using ls -a. I am certain I am checking the correct path because it lists the path in the EVENTS. I have successfully uploaded other ISOs in the past to the same datastore, and same folder. The datastore has hundreds of gigs available and this file is less than 1GB. I would just try it again but my connection is slow and it took me many hours to upload this.

Any suggestions?

Are you uploading via vSphere Web Client? I had this issue when I was uploading via Web client. You must check once uploading with WinSCP and vSphere client to reproduce the issue.

Sometimes using wget is a good alternative:
# connect to the esxi with ssh
cd /vmfs/volumes/datastore/iso-directory
wget http://somewhere.com/name.iso
