Best practice vSphere 6.0 HA with two NICs

Hey,

what is the recommended configuration when having two vmnics in total for vMotion and the management network together ?

We have a vSphere Essentials Plus with three hosts and 25 VMs.

One NIC for the management network and one NIC for vMotion with each one vswitch ?

Or maybe one vswitch with NIC teaming for both management and vMotion?

Or any other configuration?

Thanks for any input.

Michael

Since you have only two vmnics, if you need network redundancy, the recommended configuration will be something like the following:

1) One single virtual switch with both vmnics;

2) A separated VMkernel for each type of traffic, i.e: one for Management and another for vMotion, and remember to assign different VLANs (and subnets) for each port groups.
