Sporadic problem with first time logon

I am getting a strange problem with a client's View Setup - this is manifesting itself as a first time logon periodically getting stuck on “Please Wait for the User Profile Service”

If that VM is removed and user logs onto another one in the pool everything works as expected.  Suspicion is this is an appvolumes and load balancing issue as when pointed directly to a single AV Manager the problem goes away.

Client is going to recreate and obtain a log bundle but wondered if anybody had seen this type of behavior previously?

Environment is

View 7.0.3 Instant Clone Pool

Windows 10 1607 Desktop

UEM 9.1

Appvols 2.12

Thanks!

we load balance behind a F5 and haven't had this issue specifically to appvolume. Have you tried using the virtual IP of your load balancer instead of the fqdn for the appvol manager? The log bundle will tell whats holding onto the user profile.

You did mention UEM. You have any logon tasks that don't run async and may fail when using an appstack?

Thanks for that - will try it with the VIP.

Not loads going on in UEM yet but don't get the issue when AV is not load balanced.  I will review it though.
