Best way to add more storage

Hi,

We have just one (1) standalone (Esxi 6.0.0, 3029758) on HP ProLiant DL360P Gen8, 2- Intel Xeon cpu E5-2660 v2 @ 2.20Ghz.

And 6x300GB HDD total=1.39TB.

I need to add two more 300GB HDD's. It has 2 empty slots to add HDD. Not sure how to create RAID and how to present on vSphere.

Can someone advise me.

Thank you in advanced.

Try this!

* Shut down the server

* Plug the 300 GB HDD in the slots

* Power on the server & get into the server RAID configuration

* Create the RAID any

* Reboot the server & got to datastore > new datastore > VMFS >

Done! You should see the new disk

if you are using ESXi HP custom image then you can use esxcli to configure raid. The following article has details on different command line options.
