Was testing our 9.1.0 installation (currently used in Windows 7) in a windows 10 environment. However, it breaks Windows Search in a matter that the keyboard lags and you're not typing in the active field/window anymore.

Is this the seach you are talking about? Did you optimize the OS image using VMware OSOT?
No, was posting in VMWare UEM... so, this is abou VMware-UEM-9.1.0
Anyway. I'm on Windows 10 build 1703. It's not supported yet... Bummer. Can confirm it works on 1607.
I can confirm for you that this is not a VMWare issue. It is related to Windows 10 1703 on all computers running Windows 10 Pro (at least). We have this symptom on several bare metal computers.
