Firmware Support

Hi,

I am looking for support from VMware RnD.

We have Huawei Server, they have 3 raid card, 1x SR430C/RU430C and 2x MegaRaid SAS 9361-8i.

VCG for SR430C/RU430C -> VMware Compatibility Guide - I/O Device Search

VCG for MegaRaid SAS 9361-8i -> VMware Compatibility Guide - I/O Device Search

The firmware we used are:

SR430C/RU430C -> 4.270.00-4382

MegaRaid SAS 9361-8i ->  4.270.00-4382

My Question.

VMware VCG says Megaraid supported firmware is 4.270.00-4238 while we use 4.270.00-4382.

When the firmware 4.270.00-4382 is supported (listed in the VCG) ?

Is it okay to put the server into production state ?

Note: I use vsphere 6.0 U3.

You need to run the firmware listed on the VMware vSAN VCG... Right now you have a version which is higher, which probably has not been tested and is not certified as such for vSAN. I would recommend downgrading to the appropriate version.
