UEM SyncTool - Black screen during off line and late refresh of the enviroment

At a customer of ours, we are using UEM Synctool 9 for the laptop devices. The OS is Windows 7 x86.

When a user logs on with a LAN connection, everything works fine. During log off we see the SyncTool syncing the UEM environment.

The users documents, desktop etc. are set to be made available off line and are synced.

Flexengine is configured with the -OfflineImport option.

When the user log on in offline mode, the screen turns black for sometime before showing the desktop. This usually takes 1 to 3 minutes.

We notice that the environment has not been refreshed when the desktop is finally visible, as some shortcuts from the 'all users' are visible on the desktop and in the start menu. Which is weird as the laptop users have a local profile.

We added a shortcut to the Startup folder to refresh the environment, but somehow this kick in quite late. When the shortcut has been executed, the home folder mapping becomes available and the 'all users' shortcuts are 'removed'.

Does anyone know how to stop the black screen and speed up the environment refresh?

Hi,

Never seen this before, but I'm thinking it could be a configuration issue.

Can you share the UEM logfiles from the sync client with me? They are located in the local sync path (defaul location: %localappdata%\VMware UEM)
