How Does VMware Build the Hands-on-Labs?

The Hands-on-Labs are amazing. The pods deploy quickly on slow networks, work seamlessly through network outages, and have the same look and feel of the real thing with low latency. Are they using Kubernetes? Docker Swarm?

Found it in a Hands on Lab FAQ:

Q. What products are used to run the VMware Hands-on Labs?

A. VMware runs and operates its on own Datacenter. We are using VMware vCloud® Suite - vSphere®, vCloud Director™ and vRealize™ Operations™ vRealize™ Log Insight to run our Labs.

So basically: just vCloud, vRealize Ops and vRealize Log Insight.
