Best Practices for using SRM with SQL Server

    pellet13 Lurker

I am a DBA.  For using SRM with SQL Server, I know it's a best practice to not include the tempdb drive because tempdb is rebuilt on a startup anyway.  But can someone tell me if we should also exclude the SQL backup drive?  Our understanding was that the backup drive would be included with SRM just in case the databases on the VM were corrupt when brought online but we are seeing a lot of syncing issues with SRM and it appears to be because of the backup drive.

So should this be excluded?  I'm assuming if it is then we need to find another way of replicating our backup files to the remote data center.

      Any help is appreciated.
