how to propagate snapshot changes

I'm using VMware 12. I have a project that contains 5 steps, each based on the steps before. At each step a snapshot was taken, so they form a straight line in the Snapshot Manager. A current project changes has resulted in a change to the 3rd step. Is there away to make the changes in step 3 and propagate them through the remaining two steps? If so, could you post step-by-steps? The only way I see to do it is to "goto" step 3, delete steps 4 &5, and make the changes and save step 3. Then recreate steps 4 and 5, creating the two snapshots as I go along.

Thats the only way to do this.
