Just out of curiosity, why doesn't there seem to be a GUI-way in VMware Workstation to change the option ethernet0.virtualDev = "*" in the VMX file?
Speaking of this particular option, are there any recommendations about which type to choose when planning on using a virtualized Ubuntu Server 16.04 LTS as a router on a host that's running W7? Since I've got a fast fiber internetconnection (1Gbps up and down), I'm curious if the type of virtualized network card matters with bandwidths this high.
