Fusion 8.X updating error

I getting the following error when I try to update the VMWare Fusion app to the latest version, I am using a Mac OS Sierra:

Here is what I found in the log:

Hi,

Not sure on the error you highlighted if that's the real problem.

But one way to work around update issues like this is to just download the full installer and install that one.

Easiest link for me to share is:

Download VMware Fusion 8.5 or Fusion 8.5 Pro - VMware Products

Even while it says "trial" it is the full download.
