Currently we have all of our NFS datastores mounted via FQDN and need to change them to use IP address cause SRM hates me. Is there a way to change the mounting of the datastore so as to keep the UUID? Basically I want to put one host in the cluster into maintenance mode and change all the datastores from FQDN to IP but keep the UUIDs from the FQDN. Is this even possible? IS there some sneaky work around?
My only other solution is to create a temporary NFS datastore and svmotion to the temp location. Unmount and remount the perm datastore, then finally svmotion back. But since it is on netapp storage it will require a resync and the snapmirror will have to resend all 12TB of data to our DR site.
