I'm running workstation pro 12.5.4 on Windows 10 and randomly while running VMs the host will become unable to start new tasks and workstation will stop responding. Can't open task manager, can't kill tasks, and even the clock stops ticking. The only way out is a hard reboot. I've seen a few reports on these forums regarding killing some scheduled tasks such as:
-File History
-DiskCleanup
-Defrag
-Maintenance
-Windows Defender
-Application Data\DsSvcCleanup
-Chkdsk
-MemoryDiagnostic
-MUI
-Power Efficiency Diagnostic
I thought it was doing the trick yesterday but then the issue still occurred. That list is all things I'd like to keep running anyway. I've also tried rolling back to 12.1.1, but the issue still occurred. I need additional help with this.
