VIO Management Cluster

Hello there.

I was reading the Install guide documentation for VIO 3.0 and I have a question.

When selecting the cluster for the management servers, do I have to choose an empty one?

Here we use HP Blade servers, which each one has about 190gb RAM, so using three of these guys just for 13 VMs is a bit much. Even if I disable the anti-affinity rule and use just one, I'm still losing resources. I have a cluster with 6 of these hosts, with about 100 VMs running on it. Can I select it for the management servers when deploying VIO 3.0?

Thanks!

no you can use any cluster as long that cluster is not going to be used as compute.

the same cluster could be used also for you nsx edges. however for the compute you need to have an empty cluster.
