BoxEdit and Java

So we've been trying to get Java working correctly in our View enviro for a few days and have finally figured out what is causing us grief.  It seems BoxEdit is killing Java.  I've tried all sorts of different ideas:

  • Installed in same appstack
  • Installed in different appstacks
  • One on master image, other in an appstack

The only way I've found to get Java to work correctly is if Box Edit is on the Master and Java is in an appstack, all others end up with Box Edit working and Java not.  Java shows up under Add-Ons in IE with both the SSV helpers, but will just result in a blank IE window upon hitting a Java site. I would just go with Box Edit on the master(not my first choice), but this results in Box Edit dying upon logon of any desktop.  I haven't been able to chase down why that is happening yet.

Anyone ever run into anything similar to this?
