Segregate the DEM worker tasks per site

Hi All,

I have a distributed deployment for vRA with two sites (two vCenter endpoints). There are 4 DEM workers altogether (2 each site). I want to assign the tasks to DEM workers per endpoint. For example, the first two DEMs should only handle the tasks for first site. And similarly, the other two DEMs should only handle the tasks for second site. I know this can be configured from vRA Designer but I am not sure how to segregate the tasks there.

Has anyone done this before?

You won't gain much optimization if you distribute your DEMs. DEMs generally should be as close to the Manager Service and WEB as possible. DEMs can have skills and with skills you can distribute workflows among them but it's generally not recommended to do it (Have a look at the ref arch about skills). You can gain a lot of performance improvments if you distribute you Proxy Agents across the sites, though, because they talk directly to the vCenters/VMMs there.
