    VMware Mirage database name and location?

    romatlo32 Enthusiast

      Hello folks,

      I just starting working for this company and they use VMware Mirage 5.0.0.50438.

      I am trying to figure out what the database name and location it is using.

      I do not see an indication in the console.

      Any suggestions?  I want to locate it and back it up before upgrading.

      Thanks,

          I found the Management Server and Server configuration files in C:\Program Files\Wanova.

          There was a database migration done at some point and I see a MirageDB database on the Houston server, but not sure why the local SQL Express database reference was not changed.

          Any suggestions?

          Mirage MGMT Server (config files)

          "C:\Program Files\Wanova\Mirage Management Server\Wanova.Management.Service.exe.config"

            <add key="dbServer" value="HOUSTON\"/>

          <add key="dbServerCatalog" value="MirageDB"/>

          <add key="dbConnectionPoolSize" value="12"/>

          "C:\Program Files\Wanova\Mirage Management Server\Wanova.Server.Cli.exe.config" (Didn’t change)

            <add key="dbServer" value="localhost\SQLEXPRESS"/>

          <add key="dbServerCatalog" value="MirageDB"/>

          <add key="dbConnectionPoolSize" value="12"/>

          "C:\Program Files\Wanova\Mirage Management Server\Wanova.Server.Tools.exe.config"

            <add key="dbServer" value="HOUSTON\"/>

          <add key="dbServerCatalog" value="MirageDB"/>

          <add key="dbConnectionPoolSize" value="12"/>

            I've confirmed that my duplicate test environment is setup the same way.  Apparently only certain configuration files and or services use the database (or configuration reflected).
