I have installed an new vcenter 6.5 appliance,in my configuration, i have multiple Datacenters, segmented into country.
I have roles and AD groups for each datacenter, One people on a specific datacenter would like to use Guest Customization.
So i want to do that cleany way and use acces right like explain in this link
Enabling guest customization if it is greyed out (1002385) | VMware KB
but unfortunately that don't work with this version, i have this error.
But in 5.5 that work correctly.
I don't know where i can find this logs :s
I have correctly add the Modify and Read Rights in Virtual Machine/Provisioning
Someone have a workarround ?

I have answered to this question,
I have rebooted my appliance and after, that's working.
I have waited 4 days before this post, i don't know why i need to reboot the appliance to applied some ActiveDirectory rights.
Don't know if there are a service I can reboot in this case or a command powercli ?

In case someone else comes along, we also needed this permission on our template VMs as well before we could get around the OP's error
