Hi,
We are using vSphere 6 Update 2. When we drill down to a particular ESXi Host in Web Client (i.e. Monitor > Hardware Status > Alerts and Warnings), there are a number of alerts and warnings of Host Local HDD failure.
However, there is no alert for that particular ESXi Host in both Web Client of vSphere Client.
We have also restarted the ESXi Host but still no alarm / alert shows up.
Is there any way to trigger the alarm / alert so that we will be a aware of the disk failure instead of drilling down to the Host ?
Thanks
You can configure vCenter level hardware alarms that will trigger and send out an email ect... when an alarm is raised.
At the vcenter level or cluster level - manage -- alarm definitions.
Sorry for my communication skill.
The issue is vSphere Client shows that all ESXi Host as "Normal" but some of them get hardware problem. In this way, we get no idea that they are broken until the server crashes.
We would like to see why they are reported as "Normal".
Cheers
