Hi Guys , I know how to get disk IDs from the VMs .
But how do you get the reverse , I assume it has something to do with get-scisilun , but cant figure it out .
VM to RDM >
Get-VM | Get-HardDisk -DiskType “RawPhysical”,”RawVirtual” | Select Parent,Name,DiskType,ScsiCanonicalName,DeviceName | fl > Kcrdms.txt
RDM to VM ? I need this to make sure all RDMs are still in use , and not lying round , we have tons of them .
Also needed if I make path changes to a RDM LUN , Cannot just reverse the top report as many RDMs that are not shared/clusterd .
All I have is the naa. Id of the RDM .
Also note I hate RDMs, and I have no say on if we must use them or not 🙂
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Have a look at my LUN report – datastore, RDM and node visibility post.
I use this to report on all LUNs in an environment, including RDM mappings to VMs
