vCenter Standard and having Esxi with Essentials plus license

Dear All,

We presently have Essentials plus kit license and using it on two Esxi hosts and our vCenter license is also vcenter essentials. Now due to some requirement we are planning to have a vCenter Standard since we want to expand hosts beyond 3 which is limitation of Essentials plus kit.

My question is my current Esxi hosts with essentials plus license can be added to vCenter Standard OR not?

If my question is not clear, please ask for additional details.

regards,

No, you will need to buy vSphere Standard or higher edition to be able to be managed by a vCenter Standard, since you cannot add a vSphere Essentials in a vCenter Standard server.
