Hi everybody,
I have a new server, a Dell PowerEdge T630.
I have many disks on this server and a create 3 RAID groups :
- One for the ESXi installer
- One for the VM
- One for a Raw Device Mapping
Then I install vSphere ESXi 6.5 in this server. I create the first VM and I want to add a Raw Device Mapping to this VM.
The LUN for the RDM is in attachment esxi-01.png
When I edit the VM on which I want to add the RDM, I don't have the option to add the RDM, show attachment esxi-02.png
Can you help me please ?
Thank you so much.
Best regards

The Option shall be available in add new device.
Kindly make sure there is at least one harddisk/LUN available to the ESXi host which is not formatted or has a partition table
Hello Adrian,
Its Highly recommended not to make any changes during ovf/ova export in progress. You would have used V-2-V option modify
Even though this KB doesn't mention v6.5 it may still be valid.... Have you tried this?
