Hello,
I was wondering if there are any updates that would need to be installed before the most recent update. As well the best way to update an ESXi, 5.1.0, 1065491.
For example the most recent update patch is ESZI510-201605001, I think. Do I need to install an earlier update patch or update directly to this patch. There is a good bit of differences between Build 1065491 and Build 3872664.
Would this be a proper update procedure?
Shutdown All VMs
Enable SSH
Download update pach from vmware.com/patch/download
upload Pach to VM Datastore
SSH into VM and Login as root
Run command "esxcli software vib install -d "/Location of Patch"
reboot
Done
Any explanations and guidance would be appreciated.
