VCA6-DCV Certification

HeIlo,

I need to attend VCA6-DCV.

After registering for VCA6-DCV, will I have to attend my exam in my place or any exam center? By the way, during registration, there is no option to choose any exam center.

One more thing, after I click on SCHEDULE AN EXAM for VCA6-DCV, my Pearson Vue registration portal shows the exam code 1VO-621 but the exam name is VCA6-DCV Fundamentals Exam. I am confused in this.

You take the exam online, from any location.

Look at this page for the exam: https://mylearn.vmware.com/mgrReg/plan.cfm?plan=96462&ui=www_cert

The format "non-proctored" is what tells you the exam is taken online. The page will also confirm that you are seeing the correct exam code.

Will I be awarded with any sort of certificate after accomplishing the exam successfully?

The VCA exam is a non-proctored online exam, so you don't need to go to a test center, you can do that exam at your home just with a computer with internet access.

And the exam code 1V0-601 refers to the VMware Certified Associate 6 – Data Center Virtualization Fundamentals Exam that is the same as VCA6-DCV Fundamentals Exam, since VCA is the shortening for VMware Certified Associate and DCV for Data Center Virtualization.

Yes, you would be certified as VCA6-DCV - check this page and you'll see that passing the 1V0-621 exam is the only hard requirement: VCA6-DCV Certification

Here I am confused because:

Exam Code: 1VO-601    Exam Name: VMware Certified Associate 6-Data Center Virtualization Fundamental

VCA6-DCV Certification Fundamentals Exam

Exam Code: 1VO-621    Exam Name: VMware Certified Associate 6-Data Center Virtualization

VCA6-DCV Certification Exam

As I register for VCA6-DCV, my exam code and name should be Exam Code: 1VO-621  and  Exam Name: VMware Certified Associate 6-Data Center Virtualization

But as I register for the exam, exam code shows 1VO-621, but the exam name is VMware Certified Associate 6-Data Center Virtualization Fundamental.

I am confused here.

‌But if you look on the 601 page you posted you'll see that exam is retired.

621 is the current exam.

I am applying for VCA6-DCV certification. I have already gone through VMware Certification guide by Matt hew (Matt) Vandenbeld & Jonathan McDonald plus the VMware online course. Is that enoguh for the exam or hands-on lab is also required? if required, from where i can check the labs.

‌VCA exams each have their own Fundamentals training, which will cover most of what's in the exam objectives.

You can use the documentation and hands-on labs to supplement the Fundamentals training.

Thanks for the reply. I have completed the course but i didn't find any lab course related to VCA.Could you recommend some that can help me with vSphere Web Client use?
