VCSA 6.5 - Update Manager unable to import ESXi image

Has anyone else encountered issues with uploading ESXi images into VUM on VCSA 6.5? I have tried uploading both 6.0 U2 and 6.5 ISOs to no avail. Just throws an error super quick before you have a chance to read it. The log file vmware-vum-server-log4cpp.log only shows the following error..I have tried on IE11, Chrome 54. Haven't been able to get the vSphere Web Client working with Firefox.

Please take a Snapshot and backup of the VCSA.

Run the following command to reset the update manager database /usr/lib/vmware-updatemgr/bin/updatemgr-util reset-db

Run the following command to regenerate the update manager certificates /usr/lib/vmware-updatemgr/bin/updatemgr-util refresh-certs

Run the following command to register the update manager back to the vCenter /usr/lib/vmware-updatemgr/bin/updatemgr-util register-vc

    Reboot the appliance

same issue here after changing SSL certificates. We have a case opened with GSS which got escalated to the engineering team and it is not solved since 5 months. I think this is a bug that needs to be resolved.

Upload the root certificates to the internet options trusted certificate store.

You would be able to download the certs from the vCenter server webclient.

When you open the vCenter FQDN on the initial page bottom right hand corner, you would get the option to download the certificates.

In terms of 6.0 ISO files, the 6.5 VUM only supports uploading 6.5 ISO files.

Is the file you are uploading newer or older than the vCenter release?
